The tacos at Tacos Zavala may be perfect little taste bombs; compact flavor morsels; really there's a lot of ways to describe them. But cute ain't one. No cute Americanized flavors, no cute Tex Mex flourishes, nothing mainstream about 'em. These are authentically Mexican flavors, ingredients and end results, bringing south of the border taste to Delaware in ways that have never been nailed so well before.
The options are simple - alpastor, bested, chorizo, lengua, and on the weekends - the finest chorizo in the state. You can pair your tacos with water or soda. And then you eat and drink. Simple. Easy. Succinct. But definitely not cute. Cute's easy; authentic's hard. But it's also where it's at.
